    Ruined It

    - Had workers over. Noticed the satellite reciever was unplugged for them to get access and then redone when they had finished. Now it doesnt work. Hard to level any accusation though as I didnt see anything

Yeah, as the guys said, just 9 holes. Still pretty decent for me, so I was happy. Considering I don't have a driver and I have second hand ladie's clubs anything under 55 is usually decent, once I get a new set of men's clubs then I'll be looking to be hitting mid-low 40's more regularly.

If you can shoot mid-low 40s after just 1 year of playing, that would make you an extremely good beginner and would make guys who have been playing the game for 20-30 years, and struggle to do that, very jealous

Well I've shot 45 and 47 (twice) with the clubs I have at the moment, and I'm quite regularly in the low 50's. The way I see it, once I get men's clubs and actually have a driver, I could conceivably cut 5 shots out of my game, purely because of the improved equipment.

You've only been playing a year and you shot 45? That's good. Is this on a full-size course?

Well I've only been playing for probably 3 months, the first time I went out with mates I shot 57 from 5 holes. Was disgraceful. It's only an 18 hole course because some of the holes on the front 9 double up.

Yeah definitely should improve once you're used to the clubs. Expect some bad rounds first up though.

BTW, you don't by any chance count every other stroke, do you? I had a friend who used to get low scores all the time until I golfed with him and found out how he scored.

Yeah, I've used a mates clubs before and I quite liked them, but took ages to get used to them. Was shooting averagely by the time the 9th rolled around.

    Chance count?

Not familiar with that term, but if it means counting every other stroke then yes.
