    Happy birthday honestbharani

Should just about be the 19th in Chennai by now even if it's not here.

Either way, there's not a lot you can say about the man that hasn't already been said. One of the nicest guys ever on CW, if not the nicest, great to have around for so many reasons, not least some wholly educated comment on Indian cricket... even if there are occasionally those extremely long posts.

But Jono has been making me wonder recently... are you actually called Honest?

    Either way -

Yes. Honest is a popular first name in South India. Bharani of course, is his title.

Someone's hacked Dickinson's account! Gave himself away by using a username rather than an actual name.

    Anyway, HB hb.

What's wrong with Honest ? My uncle's name is Honest, it's a pretty common Indian name tbh.

BTW, should add: not being Indian, I don't know what's a common Indian name and what's not. I'm sure there are hundreds more that I've never heard before too. Nothing wrong with it at all. Just that, well, hb is pretty honest really, so I'd wondered if that was the reason.

I use posting-IDs if I don't know a real name. Or if they're the same - which, respectively: I thought I didn't know but did; and they are.

    Happy Birthday Honest.

Oh and Richard it's okay no one really cares here if you didn't know that it was an Indian name, but just a heads up South Indian people for some odd reason get really mad when you doubt names like Sivaramakrishnan, Rendu, Utapam, Idli, and Honest, etc etc. So just a tip, when and if you ever travel to South India just watch out for that . In fact my dad has had quite a few bad experiences.

We Indians have an almost Richard-esque liking for repetition. Just the other day, I heard this at the bar:
