"Step by step. I can't see any other way of accomplishing anything"

    "Fear is an illusion"

"Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships"

"If winning isn't everything, why do they keep the score?"

Reality is an illusion created by a lack of alcohol

    errrm...ok a proper one:

"It doesn't matter if your good enough or not, it only matters that you want to go out there and really kick their arses" - me, giving one of my great uplifting speaches when acting as captain.
"Age is just a stupid number"

"If winning isn't everything, then why do they keep the score" - Vince Lombardi

"Psychoanalysis is the Enemy of Yogurt, Latitudinarianism, High Explosives, Okapis, Metaphors and Garden Shears" - John Cleese, probably when stoned

"It doesn't matter what's happened so far. There's still twelve overs left and this is your chance to go and be the hero and win it for us" - Me, to the U13s' first change bowler last season during a rain break. When play restarted, he took 4/11 as the opposition collapsed from 57-2 to 93-8 and we tied the game, the only one all season that we didn't lose.

"Yeh shut up Rick,or go home. Right come on lads lets win this one"

This was my inspirational team talk as captain to a group of people who were three times older than me. We were rolled over for 37. I got a second ball duck..

We only lost by the two wickets

After we were canned around the park by one guy, all I could come up with was "Hang on lads...I've got an idea"

we proptly got him out next ball for 99, trying to drop the ball at his feet for an easy single and was bowled

I have, literally, millions of favorite quotes, but some of my most favorite are (most, I don't remember who said)-

"It's moments like these that separate a good player from a great player" - my line to little brother in a neighbourhood "prize match." We won in the end

"I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying"

"We're not retreating. We're advancing in the other direction" - George Washington

"Success is never an accident" - my swim coach, but dunno if it's original

"It doesn't matter if you don't win, as long as you come first" I'm just kidding, just thought I ought to put that in there...

"Heroes get remembered, but legends never die"

"If something's worth doing, it's worth doing to the best of your ability"

"Aim for the sun. If you miss, atleast you'll land among the stars"

"If it ain't broke. Don't fix it"

"War is not about dying for your country. It's about making the enemy die for his"

"It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog"

    I'll spare thee for now
