Louie is great, but it does owe a serious debt to Seinfeld.

Much darker in hue, but had there been no Seinfeld there'd be no Louie, IMHO.

It's Always Sunny is probably my favourite tv show but it has been **** for a few seasons now. This season was especially poor. Still had some gold moments, but very sub-par.

In related news, I find Parks and Rec extremely uncomfortable to watch. Any scene without Amy Poehler in I enjoy but I honestly can't ****ing stand her. I never have liked her at all, but in P&R she's insufferable. I understand that's supposed to be a part of the character but ugh.

The mango season has arrived too. Great time to bump this thread.

Yeah, I agree It's always Sunny and Parcs n Rec are the only shows currently airing that in my mind are genuinely great. Thought Community had great potential, too... had a number of episodes which were just balls-out genius, but it was always kind of all over the place in terms of being good consistently. And the last third or so of Season 3 onwards it's just completely gone down the drain

community's been awful this season but this week's one wasn't bad at all.

also I agree with dcye, poehler's character's the only dislikable one but she's watchable from season 3 onwards, season 1 was awful overall and season 2 was still getting the feel

so you haven't seen anything past season 1? The common consensus is that season 1 is dog****, season 2's good, season 3 onwards is brilliant. they changed Leslie a bit after season 1, she's not AS annoying but still my least favourite character

I must have actually been living under a rock when I was in the NT, I don't know what Louie is..

I've always been a huge Seinfeld fan, didn't get into Curb, like the Office - prefered the UK one originally but like US better now, like Its Always Sunny and I've started watching Community again from the start and love it.

I understand this, that's my point. I've tried to get through it because I've heard it gets better but I can't stand it. I refuse to start from season 2 or 3 because my completionist brain won't allow it.
