Some very good new songs coming up. The one posted by nsniks is a fine one.

I like this new Punjabi song a lot - Pani Da Rang - Vicky Donor - FULL SONG HD - YouTube. I imagine the lyrics are easy enough to follow. If someone needs a translation, please let me know.

I've been listening to 'Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaye' from Pyaasa a lot over the last few days. Probably the best Hindi song I've heard. Stunning, stunning lyrics.

Rafi -Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaaye - Pyaasa [1957] - YouTube

Pyasa is Best Hindi Movie ever, IMO. The lyrics of this movie (By Sahir ) are simply the most powerful I have every heard. If you get a chance, also listen to the following from the same movie :-

Rabbi Shergill- Jinhe naaz hai hind pe - YouTube (Rabbi Shergil Version)

Jinhe Naaz Hai Hind Par Wo Kahan Hai.flv - YouTube (Rafi Sahab's Version)

Everytime I think about the poor state of our country or the shouts of India shinning I remember the immortals words of Sahir :-

Zaraa mulk ke raahbaroN ko bulaao
ye kuuche ye galiyaaN ye maNzar dikhaao
jinheN naaz hai hind par unako laao
jinhe naaz hai hind par vo kahaaN haiN?
kahaaN haiN kahaaN haiN kahaaN haiN?

I agree about Pyaasa. Amazing movie.

Sanz, the biggest problem is that my Hindi is terrible, I watched the movie with a friend who helped me out quite a bit. He also translated the lyrics of 'Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaaye' for me. I probably would not understand most of the lyrics of the song you posted. Will see if I can get an online translation.

Great lyrics indeed

Amazing song, one of my favs. Have you heard the song from Gulaal which was a tribute to this song?

Yeah, it's good to see a South Asian team here showcasing their talent through Bollywood/Fusion style dance. Normally, Canadian and US teams are known for their Bhangra and having revolutionized the dance form.

My mom's favorite song -

Teri Bindiya - Amitabh Bachchan & Jaya Bhaduri - Abhimaan - YouTube

One of my old time favorite's (refurbished in the same titled movie recently) -

Tera Mujhse Hai Pahle Ka Naata Koi - YouTube

another one -

kya hua tera wada - YouTube

And a few popular classic kids songs -

Lakdi Ki Kaathi - Masoom - YouTube

Nani teri morni ko mor le gaye- masoom(1962) - YouTube

Dadi Amma Dadi Amma Maan Jaao - GHARANA (1961) - YouTube

"CHANDA MAMA DOOR KE,PUYE PAKAYE BOOR KE"BY ASHA BHOSLE,L:PREM DHAWAN,M.D:RAVI-"VACHAN-1950" - YouTube

The last one is from 1955 and Asha Bhonsle is still singing super songs and also was singing and jiving with Brett Lee a couple of years ago.
