Really important hold in Tooting for Labour, maintaining a reasonable majority on just a 3.6% swing to the Tories. Looking more and more like a hung parliament with a potential Lib-Lab pact seeming more and more conceivable with every interview.

Frustrated. But not as frustrated as I'll be if Northern Ireland/Scotland/Wales do a behind the scenes deal with one of the parties to give them their support if they give them a load of extra cash.

It is different, because Scottish MPs can vote on issues that don't affect their constituents.

Difference is that Westminster is pretty much an English Parliament. It has virtually no impact on policy up here.

There won't be enough Scottish MPs to do that.

IIRC, we return 59 MPs to Westminster - I'd be amazed given the trend if Labour didn't take at least 40 of those available seats.

Hate these stories of 'being blocked/locked out from voting'.

You don't have a right to vote, it's a privelege. And, if you've had all day and rock up to vote at night, then guess what? You take your chances.

I also think the locked out voters invariably exaggerate their stories of being locked out/prevented from voting.

Of course, that's a general statement. If people were physically stopped from voting and then shackled and hauled away into a dungeon until voting time passed, then that's another story.

What is the reasoning about labour being so popular in Scotland? I haven't really followed much of the Scottish policies, although I watched the TV debate.
