First Tory gain of the night.

Where you getting this? BBC Scotland has 5-1 to Labour just now, and reporting the Tories gain in Kingswood, with a 9.4% swing from Labour.

Tory gaining seat no. 136 there... still could be on for a majority.

First Scottish constituency declares in Lanarkshire.

Shockingly, Labour takes 28,000 of the 47,000 votes cast.

ITV

BBC, ITV & Sky all massively different, and I'm channel-flicking which is hurting my head

Lib Dems hold Torbay from the Tories.

1.1% away from Tories to Lib Dems.

Brian Wilson, former Labour minister on BBC Scotland: "we've never had coalition at the UK level before."

Idiot.

The electoral commission must be really short staffed. How long does it take to count FPTP?

Some constituencies, particularly in Scotland, are massive and very very rural.

All votes from the individual polling stations must be gathered into one central location, counted, and presumably double checked.

Some of the more remote constituencies, particularly in the north, probably won't declare until early tomorrow morning, possibly tomorrow afternoon.

I'm pretty sure the final result of the last Scottish Parliament election wasn't fully known until the Friday afternoon. Certainly it wasn't until about 7 or 8am that the majority of the constituencies had returned their candidates.

With a big increase in majority....

This is hugely chequered across the country and the marginals seem heinously difficult to call.

All of Scotland seems to be moving towards Labour. Every Scottish seat that's declared (that I've seen) has seen a small percentage shift away from the SNP and Lib Dems towards Labour, with the Tories often mired in 4th place.

This has massive constitutional ramifications for the UK.
