I'd rather play idiots than good players tbh

I just seem to be lacking the patience or even the drive online unless I'm playing at least 200NL and I don't have the online bankroll for that

Live is another matter of course. Enjoy it so much more. Heading over to Perth next week so I'll be playing at the Casino there. Really like the room so I'll probably be playing 2-5 or maybe 5-10 if a good game is going. Shame Star City is so terrible

Maybe that site isn't the best. Just check google. Just makes it easier to read

I don't know really. I only go to visit some relatives once a year and I like Burswood Casino. Crown Casino is by far and away the best Casino in Australia for poker, and pretty much everything related to gambling.

Played a pretty good cash game with a few friends tonight. $10 buy ins, and I ended up $100 in the black. There was one incident that kind of bothered me.

A girl who had been playing conservative all night got up to use the bathroom. Her bf (who had gone out earlier) took over her hand. I was big blind with a 9-6 off suit. The hand was...

    Flop Q-9-3
    Turn K
    River 7
    Flush on the table.

I bet moderately on the flop ($2). Everyone goes out except the bf who calls, but doesn't sound very sure of himself. I bet strongly on the turn ($6), hoping to scare him off. He looks very very unsure but decides to go in stating "Oh well it's not my money." By this time his gf is back, and I all in him on the river. (about $9) He asks his gf what he should do, she says "I would have been out a long time ago but whatever." However I think his blood was up by this point, and nothing I could do would scare him off. Turns out he has J-9 and he takes it with the kicker.

Is that really kosher? It's just a game among mates so I didn't make a fuss about it, but there is no way he would have gone in if it was his money, and his gf wouldn't have gotten to the river let alone called me. I'm of the opinion she should have auto folded the hand.

Still can't complain. Had a good run of it tonight.

Depends if your willing to take a stand before he sits down saying you can only with your own money, lol.

Visited pokerstrategy site read up on big stack cash play and got $50 free capital of them so gona start trying to grind with that free $50 and see how it goes before I start putting in my own money.
I grinded the $50 into $57 in a 3 hour session on pacific poker .01/.02 this morning ha had one cooler but got kings and queens all the time will see how it goes just sticking to their starting hand charts and strategy seems to work well so far...

Pokerstrategy's a fantastic site. What's your username over there?

Make full use of the hand evaluation boards, they're really friendly and helpful as well as knowing their poker inside out. The rest of the forum isn't great.

Anyways, really came in to post this:

bryce87 iirc, yeah there's heaps I cannot access though since I have not been there long.
Have heaps of ups & downs on the .01/.02 lol been sitting steady at $70-$75 now gets really frustrating everyone just seems to be a calling station. Had some sickening suckouts and whatnot but i'm due to start running good soon, once i'm at $100 I can move up to .02/04
    lmao

I don't think you have a legitimate complaint here. It's not like you played the hand then it suddenly emerged that someone else was making her decisions, you knew in advance that you were up against someone who was playing with someone else's money (and crucially you didn't raise any objection at the time) and evidently didn't really know what they were doing but still decided to massively overplay an exceptionally weak middle pair. Why?

Felt like playing tournaments again so opted for my preferred $11 superstack. Again made a deep run and again busted out before the money. I feel like the biggest dickhead for not moving in on the turn I mean what was I thinking...
Deep down knew that river hit him but I was just so pot comitted

Little suprise to me that that guy busted out soon after shoving on a flopped flush draw(yep that's right 40k all gone, lol).
Most surprising thing is that he's listed as having made a $1700 profit on FT. Must have ran well on one single tournament or something, like hit all of his flushes or sumn ha
