Yeah but nothing too high. The highest I have bought in for was £300 earlier this month.
My tourney game is pretty woeful as I lose patience pretty easily I find when I'm not hugely stacked! My next goal is to work on my heads up NL holdem game and then get my multitable tournament game sorted out. THen hopefully try to get good at omaha or something like that. I think the diversity in options will make me a better player and keep me more interested in the game on the whole. |

Now playing Cash tables on fulltilt.
Doing reasonably well, just winning my biggest pot of $100 with Pocket 9's. Flopped a full house against someones trip 7's.

Poker is absolutely massive in Australia, or atleast in eastern suburbs sydney!
Most of the players start off in free buy in tournaments (or effectively that amount) at first then work their way up if they get more into it. Nicely done though. Some mates and I are going to go monthly to the casino and play small stakes. As much for the experience as the money. I've stopped playing online for a bit because of uni - I've found that you need to be incredibly self-disciplined. |

I used to play for money and was wicked at that . Missus doesn't want me to gamble for any thing so all of my friends after playing a hectic cricket match gather at my place and put 10 bucks each to play and winner orders pizzas or some other stuff ..........

Came 3rd in my first ever Limit Hold'em MTT last night, for $50. Really happy, tbh. Thank you Manan and Sim

Played so terribly today. Worked my way up to about $320. Then ended up walking out $100 down.
Got pocket aces for the first ever time in the casino though. paid nicely |

No. It was the first time I'd ever gotten them at the casino when playing cash game.
Worked out quite well. Was under the gun. Raised to $20 (Blinds are $1/2 mind you). Then the guy on the button moved all in for about $120. I instant call (Hellmuth style). My Aces hold up against his Queens. |

Not so. Easiest way is to play them in a tournament or cash game is to push it all in pre flop. That way only the most premium hands will call you (Kings, Queens, Jacks, Ace King) and doesn't allow people to draw against you if the hand was to be played normally. Also, Jacks should fold.

If someone does call you with kings/jacks/queens they've still got a 18.6% chance of winning though. With AK suited they've got an 11.5% chance against your aces. So you're not a definite win.
