Most Annoyingly Catchy Song of All Time

So, this thread is about recognising those songs that although may not be particularly good. In fact you may even hate the song with a passion. Despite this, whenever you hear it on the radio, it gets lodged in your brain and won't let go.

To let you know what I'm thinking of, the epitome of this category of music would probably be something like Erasure's "A Little Respect". I had the misfortune of seeing the Scrubs episode with this song in it the other day and I had the song stuck in my head for a long time afterwards.

Other examples might include the Bluetones' "My Neighbour's House" - which got lodged in my head after only one listen.

If there are enough candidates, this could turn into one of those battle things that are so popular here, but mainly I'm interested to see if the same type of song gets stuck in everyone's head, or does Napalm Death result in similar feelings for other people, for example.

So, what song gets lodged in your head and just won't leave - much like a bad smell, a person that won't vacate your house after you've invited them round, or like James Marshall (Hamish got the hint, now you can **** off too)

Any song which is catchy and not good tends to annoy me, TBH.

A Little Respect is though IMO. And Wheatus' version wasn't bad either.

I'm going to avoid this thread like the plague, because I know it's going to result in said annoying tunes getting stuck in my head, then I go crazy and start shooting

Good one. Have you managed to decypher the lyrics yet?

"Poor old Johnny Ray... And he sat upon the radio and stole a million hearts in mono
    Eat Mother's Pride.."

    And then I'm lost.

    Until

"Come on Eileen... Whoh, I swear by all means that you're dirty with... Come on Eileen"

    Or something...

Dammit. Now I've got "Don't Walk Away Rene" (I don't have a clue who that's by) stuck in my head. That's awful!!

That "Wannabe" song by the Spice Girls always ended up stuck in my head.

Also, "Cold as Ice" by Foreigner (I think), is guaranteed to stay with me for a good 3 hours after I hear it.

You're as cold as ice, willing to sacrifice our love. Gun song TBH.

From what I can remember it goes like this:

    Poor old Johnny Ray
Sounded sad upon the radio, he moved a million hearts in mono.
Our mothers cried and sang along and who'd blame them.
Now you're grown, so grown, now I must say more than ever.
    Go Toora Loora Toora Loo-Rye-Aye
and we can sing just like our fathers.

    Come on Eileen,
I swear (well he means) At this moment you mean everything,
With you in that dress my thoughts I confess verge on dirty
    Ah come on Eileen.

These people round here wear beaten down eyes
Sunk in smoke dried faces they're so resigned to what their fate is,
But not us, no not us we are far too young and clever.
    Remember Toora Loora Toora Loo-Rye-Aye
Eileen I'll hum this tune forever.

Come on Eileen, I swear, well he means
Ah come on let's take off everything,
That pretty red dress Eileen (Tell him yes)
Ah come on let's, ah come on Eileen, please

Only two people in the world IIRC that know for sure who that song is about.
