I don't want to get into what has caused this, but I'd have thought that Voltman could have risen above any previous difficulties... Something pretty bad must have happened for him to disappear as well... Obviously, I've only been here a month which is a very short time compared to most here, so I know nothing of any 'previous', but whatever the reason, this is a very sad development.

Alas, poor Samantha as she was called by Richard. She was blonde and talked about cricket (about cricket, Amen). Just like the build up of Aluminium in the bloodstream to cause Parkinsons, the constant barbs from other members at the CricketWeb site built up in her heart (in her heart, Amen) until she could take no more. Her site membership expired peacefully in her sleep.

She is survived in the signature of nightprowler which makes him either look like some kind of pervert (kind of pervert, Amen) or his body clock may well be ticking towards middle age.

It is to my regret that I did not know Samantha.

We may not mourn the passing of Brother Voltman. He passed on like Ships in the Night, on to a better place - possibly Melbourne? He wrote of the life and times of Trotting horses in the local newspaper, also known as the local 'rag'. He berated me once regarding rugby and my lack of knowledge on qualification rules (qualification rules, Amen)

Well it is his site, and I don't know what the post contained, but surely we could have an edited version? And a chance to say goodbye to a long standing member, who was a lot of help to me personally and to the site in general

That's a down right lie and you know that - especially after our email discussion. No one forced him out, he chose to leave of his own accord, and why this has to be brought into Piper's thread is beyond me.

I'll leave this thread open out out of respect to Piper for the moment. Hopefully it won't have to be closed due to this discussion continuing.

Anyone who wants reasons should talk to Voltman directly.
