Although lyrically up there with the best, it's one of his musically weaker songs imo, and I find it a tiny bit grating at times. Not to take anything away from it but I also love Do You Want To Know A Secret, so it wasn't a huge decision tbh.

Do You Want To Know A Secret is mustard, no doubting it. But Taxman is just awesome. I suppose you're entitled to your own (stupid) opinion though

Taxman - purely because of the line "declare the pennies on your eyes". And because it makes me think of Peter Costello.

Hey Bullfrog. The "I Am Sam" soundtrack ruined "Two of Us" for me - now it actually gives me the ****s...

Suspect Something will probably waltz it & it is a great song with some very cool guitar on, but I'm going for Nowhere Man as it's a solid-gold classic & has entered he common vernacular as an expression too.

Secondly it has to be You Never Give Me Your Money as alone it's the greater achievment. Golden Slumbers makes less sense when divorced from the songs that bookend it on AR.

Something, not actually a huge fan of Nowhere Man, perhaps because there are so many great songs on Rubber Soul

You Never Give Me Your Money - quite simply wonderful.

Something - beautiful, beautiful song.

Golden Slumbers - probably because I sing it to my son when putting him to bed...
