It's already been tarnished tbh. The first three were awesome, the last three were ok (the last one was very good actually) but no where near the originals. If he would have just left it, it would have been an amazing trilogy, now, meh.

I hope it's true. I love Star Wars, it captured my imagination like no other movie ever has. Any addition to the canon can only be a good thing IMO.

I seem to be in a minority of one in that I dislike every star wars film I have ever seen (that's the ones from the Seventies & Eighties) and never bothered with the second set of three. I would much rather watch Aliens to be perfectly frank. I remember seeing the Empire Strikes Back at the cinema and falling asleep, i was that bored.
Also, its too late for redemption as Bruno Lawrence has passed on. You could possibly get the guy who played James in "The insiders' guide to happiness" to star in it, then I'd probably watch a new star wars film.
Talk about destroying the series. It's great the way it is george keep it like that. Dont ruin it.
