    Communism the debate rages on

For years Communism has dominated the soviet union. It has brought the death of millions but at the same time built the empire of Russia. Have your say on communism.

Communism is fundementaly never going to work in a human enviroment, mankind needs the losers in life to balance out the over achievers and keep the world turning, that's how it works.

There is no hiding from the fact that Communism has never worked in practice.

I beg to differ that it built the Soviet Empire as well.

First person that refers to North Korea as a communist regime gets a spear through the throat.
'Copperfield,' said Mr. Micawber, 'farewell! Every happiness and prosperity! If, in the progress of revolving years, I could persuade myself that my blighted destiny had been a warning to you, I should feel that I had not occupied another man's place in existence altogether in vain.

The whole point of communism is to eliminate the class differences between the general population putting everyone on the same playing field.

History has taught us human's don't work like that.

Essentially Communism puts everyone at the same level by making everyone poor. Humans however prefer to be rich so that although everyone is no equal noone is happy.

    Communism blows goats.

Marxist theory is holier than the pope. Cant be bothered grabbing my copy of the Communist Manifesto (available for £3 from a guy in a knitted jumper at all good uni bookshops), but the idea that humanity is happy to sacrifice all its desires for self improvement, and its gluttinous want for the finer points in life are the assumptions only 2 pissed Germans can achieve. The idea of equality totally negates the human desire for improvement, thus disabiling the want to learn, thus leaving a deficit of educated people to invent and improve all aspects of life.

You show me a nation thats been run to the Communist ideal and i'll pay for your trip back to Earth. The fact that you can name Lenin, Stalin, Krushchev as Soviet 'Leaders' shows they were above the Communist idea of equality. The fact they lived in wealth whilst the people starved, confiscated crops whilst living off caviar, slaughtered millions on the front line whilst staying 100s of miles away safe just emphisize that.

First person to refer to the Soviet Union as communist gets a spear to the throat.

They weren't. They claimed to be, but that doesn't mean they were. It was just as fascist as Germany. Communism = dissolution of the government. In Soviet Union, the government was anything but dissolved. In practice, I do not believe communism is possible to even implement, let alone get it to work. Fasism can work, in my opinion, but I certainly wouldn't want to live in such a state.
