    ^ So jail the people.

Oh, and I agree with Fiery's original post, but I'd substitute "pitbulls" with "all dogs" tbh...

It's the usual argument, there may be some Putbills that are dangerous, but they're are plenty that aren't.

Meh tbh, if you leave young children crawling around with an agressive pitbull, you deserve to be eradicated.. No reason to destroy the whole species though...

Pitbull got loose once when I was 11. Was kicking the footy around in my front yard, and the pitbull went after my cat instead. Killed it right in front of my eyes, no matter how much I kicked the **** out of it to let go.

Beast of an animal, who knows what it would have done to myself or my friends had my cat not been there. I say yes. **** 'em. Or rather, stop letting them.

Not a case of behaivour. Just much prefer having a cat around rather than a dog.

    Ditto.

As for the thread, as someone said earlier, we bred them up, might as well breed them out too.

Yes, I'm praying for a pit-bull final solution. One chased me, I hid behind a car and prayed to Allah and then it stopped looking for me. I don't know if it was Divine intervention or the fact it got bored, but yes they should be eradicated like the British wolf.

While I cringe every time I hear or read about these dog attacks, I don't think that eradicating some breeds is the way to go. The owners are generally the ones that are to blame, training these animals to be overly aggressive towards human beings, which is against their usual behaviour.

This breeds aggression has been bred into them over time as well though so nuture only plays half the role in how aggressive individual dogs are...and there are plenty of case of supposedly placid and well-raised dogs "snapping"

Sometimes people from very well-to-do backgrounds who have been raised very proper can just "snap" as you put it, does it mean that we have to eradicate all human beings? IMO, what the dog's trainer, owner or breeder does with the dog is the main factor in how it will develop later in life. I'm no dog expert but it seems pretty obvious that if you raise a dog well, then chances are that they will be a well behaved pet for the duration of life.
