Help, anyone?

So my laptop went dead suddenly this morning. The screen went blank and it audibly shut down. The power light is on though and theres a "message" button that's also lit. I've done everything, but it just won't work. I took out the battery and replaced it and it's the same thing. I press the power button and it sounds like it's starting up, then the sound stops. And the screen is dead throughout.

Help!

PS - the Dev League season could be delayed...

Doesn't sound good.... best possible outcome would be to salvage all thats on the hard-drive... somehow

I'm leaving Brighton today for possible 10 days of travelling, so I probably won't get it fixed for a while. Taking it with me though, and hoping to encounter someone computer-friendly on my travels. *si*gh*

Skegness first, then eventually Notts and Derbyshire. Possibly Tunbridge Wells at some point.

And I just tried it again, about 45 minutes after the initial failure and it's suddenly working! Thank God. Dev League to progress as scheduled.

Clapo's getting at the fact that if it did this now, it might do again hence the need to backup.
