I got an Xbox 360, mainly because PS3 was still months away, and because its about $350 cheaper, which is a second controller, and 3 full priced games... Also I had an Xbox rather than a PS2, so I had some brand loyalty to games like Halo and Project Gotham which are exclusive...

I will not be getting either 360 or Playstation 3.

Firstly I dont have HDTV with is pretty much essential to get close to full value from both machines.

Secondly, blue-ray technology doesnt interest me and Im not a movie freak. Im not interested in spending money on unproven technolgy that may be dead in 5 years

Thirdly, the manufacturing issues with the 360 make it a no-no from my point of view.

Forthly, I prefer specialist equipment. Ive always found that things that try to do multiple tasks never end up doing any of them adequately. The machines become Jack of all trades and I find the concept of an all-in-one entertainment centre a big turn off. Also if one thing breaks you lose everything.

Fifthly, Price. I dont think either the 360 or Playstation 3 represent value for money especially with the price of useful addons and the high, high price of games.

I don't see much point in getting a 360 or PS3 if you've got a decent computer. Wii gives you some variety and is cheap.

Wii doesn't give you FFXIII, GT5 or MGS4 though. Plus a GC gives you the Twilight Princess.

Cheap, Yes and that is a good thing. Boring is debatable as it will have quality games such as Zelda and the new control syestem is revolutionary.

I wouldnt call the Wii boring. It is a game system plain and simple. Not an entertainment system. I think a number of systems have lost sight of their key aim which is gaming.

My worry would be the small number of games and third party support that hurt the Gamecube. However, sales have been strong and there seems to be a decent future.

Though, I will not buy a Wii either ATM.

The Wii with a form of Smash Brothers would be awesome.
