Racism: Is it really a big issue?

suprised no-one was talking abt this TBH...but anyway, is racism really such a big issue?

We've all heard abt the Big Brother saga lately, but there are even more issues that occur in the world!

So, what is ur opinion?

I'm not too sure TBH....

Yes.

But there is a difference between racism and political correctness that is often muddled...

In my area racism isn't much of a problem.

I've obviously heard stories of racism etc but I've never actually witnessed a racist incident in my whole life.

Same as Tom really. I live in a fairly rich white area, where people are generally tolerant of other people. It's nowhere near as bad as it used to be, it was awful in the 70s.

I live in an ethnically pure area called the North Cotswolds. Noone is openly all that racist because there's noone to be racist about.

Yep, right on. It's a BNP stronghold, and I was born their, I am ashamed. Steeton, Silsden and Utley are ok though.

Steeton etc are just as bad on the racism from.

But you shouldnt be ashamed of where you come from, you should only be ashamed of the things you can control and do, and you cant help being born where you were.

its worse for me, I moved here

There are some ok places I guess. The bit near the leasure center is ok, and near the music center, I don't really go there much anymore though.

I went out with someone from Heckmondwicke once. Pretty sure the BNP actually got in there at some level.

It's pretty dire round here tbh. Pretty much all of the chavvy and/or less intelligent people hate Asians and assume they're all terrorists and all that rubbish.
