A little bit of help with iTunes and iPod

I just bought a new laptop today, and I want to get all my music onto it. Anyone know how I can rip music from my iPod onto my laptop?

That's basically the Ipods biggest weakness tbh.

A way I have used in the past is go into the Ipod drive, click on search, click music, include hidden files and most songs come up. That said there are heaps of good programs on the net that do an excellent job.

Yeah, I think there's a number of programs on the internet that do that sort of thing for you.

Yep, try the following links:

http://www.methodshop.com/gadgets/ip...ff/index.shtml

http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/win/29657

I think the main disadvantage of just searching the iPod_control folder via Explorer is that the files are all renamed to crap like JNSB.mp3, LIKF.m4a, etc. Though you could probably import back into iTunes after you've got them, and have it sort/rename them according to their tags.

Try Anapod's trial version of their software, it allows you to drag-and-drop I believe in a more organised fashion that exploring.

Is that relevant to any question?
