road works

Driving by road works day by day and seeing them gradually getting completed is exciting imo. it also gives me a great sense of achievement knowing i shared the experienced with the workers.

Same here. Especially houses.

Probably the most entertaining thing about road works is on Saturday nights, blocking off streets using cones. Tis truelly hilarious

Roadworkers are almost useless, sure they re-seal the roads which is impressive but really the work isn't that hard. Most of the time you'll see them standing around doing nothing.

Make sure you give the poor guy with the stop sign a wave as you drive past, the interaction makes his day.

My Experience with road works leads me to believe the best time of night to meet and greet them is 3:30 am as they are generally having their cuppa's then and speaking to the grandma's in the close by village they are generally warm and comforting and willing to speak to polite individuals.

Know what you mean brycey. It's not the same thing, but we have a lot of construction work going on at school at the moment, and its not only exciting but also interesting to see the building slowly coming together.

Look, its fine in small quantities, but in Perth atm its like roadworks on every road especially in the city. Not to mention the work done on buildings etc which tends to block off one lane in the process. Seriously a pain in the seat of your pants.

Hate drilling and construction noises so much tbh, especially early in the morning when you're trying to sleep. And it's like as soon as one neighbor finishes one renovation, another starts. Let me rest in peace ffs.

Whipper snippers are the worst imo. They do like a whiiirr WHIIIRRRR whirrrr noise, rather than something consistant.

It's like that here too. The worst of them is the ridiculously named "Comeback Queen" project on Queen St, and apparently there's still more than a year to go on that one.

They have a knack of starting up their noisiest equipment just as I'm walking past.

Yes. The people in the flat next door are in the middle of yet another renovation. Annoying as hell. I can't hear my extremely loud music over their extremely loud drilling.
