I've yet to see Guru, but the latest one I've watched was Salaam-e-ishq and Bhagam Bhag.
How were they? They were both promoted hugely. How did they actually turn out?

Salaam-e-ishq, I personally, quite liked... It was a good mix of almost everything. The songs were pretty good too.
The last one I watched was 'No Entry' when it first came out. My mom watches a bunch of them with the same old actors and sometimes I watch with her, but I couldn't tell you their names.
Can't decide on a signature? Why not Zoidberg?

Last one I watched was Guru. Overall a good movie. The first half is excellent. The second half kinda loses steam. Abhishek is awsome. I'm gaining more respect for him with each new movie of his.
Guru was a fairly good film for me as well. I thought the court scene in the end had elements of The Aviator in it, except, while The Aviator used logic, Guru didn't. If you tell any court that you have indeed done what you are accused are, you are proving yourself guilty. They probably wanted to give a moral ring to it by being freed by the jury (without manipulations). Shahrukh Khan was taking revenge and hence committed the crimes in Baazigar, Amitabh Bachchan in Sarkar wouldn't agree to doing the drugs business as it harmed the people (as opposed to Brando in The Godfather who didn't because it would mean losing support from the police). So it is some thing to be expected in a hindi film.
bollywood films just arent my thing

Guru was quite a decent movie.
I watch more of South Indian movies, pretty much cover 3 languages from the south tbh.
Rang-de-basanti.
Wanted to see Road to Kabul but it isnt out in video/dvd yet where i live and i just missed it when i was in India last.
Overall a decent movie.
Anyhoos, in the last 3 years, i've watched only 5 hindi movies : Rang-de-basanti, Lagaan, Mission Kashmir, Devdas(new one) and Brahmachaari ( starring Shammi Kapoor, quite old).
Overall, Lagaan, Roja, Mother India, Bombay, Mission Kashmir, Devdas(original, not the new one), Anand, Koshish ( imo, best movie ever made in bollywood) and Sholay are definitely the best bollywood films i've ever seen.
Of the above, i find that Anand, Devdas, Mother India and Koshish are extremely underrated.
