Yoh, I swear I have a few South Indian friends and I've heard a few South Indian songs as well, they are pretty sikk. I don't really like the movies, but the music is pretty good even though I don't understand any of those South Indian languages.

Movies of late have been dire, but the songs are still great to say the least. I know Telugu, tamil, Kannada and Malayalam from southern India.

I think you watch them for the visual treats and the music is just an excuse tbh. Any way, South India has produced some great movies (from whatever I have heard and read - am yet to explore south Indian movies - which I hope to do whenever I can get the movies with subtitles) but as it is with main stream bollywood, much of what you will see on your tv set would be crap.

Yeah South Indians make good music. Anyways, haven't there been a lot of movies in the recent past that have been dubbed in Hindi (for ex. Bombay, Saathiya, etc)?

Also, you know that song Kathali Yaradali, or something like that, I am pretty sure I am saying it wrong. Anyways, that is one Tamil song I really like, eventhough I have no clue what they are saying.

Yep yep they are class movies. Saathiya is actually a tamil movie (Alaipayuthey) and anyway its a great movie and great songs.

No idea mate, you would have to mention me the name of the movie for me to recognise the song. There are way too many movies out there these days.

Recently I have seen:
Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna - Too long, too tedius, but Mukherjee and Zinta brightened it up.
Bluffmaster - Just stupid, even Abishek couldn't save this one.
Don - Had the makings but a stupid twist at the end. Pretty damn cool though.
Mujhse Shaadi Karogi - Average, nothing average about Priyanka Chopra though!
Hum Tum - Enjoyed this, overall a very solid film.
Dhoom 2 - Action scenes were nice but a bit corny.
Mistress of Spices - A good film for those who like sentimental things.

Now I'm looking to watch Salaam Namaste and Salaam e Ishq. Anyone got anything on them?

Overall
Kabhi Alvida na Kehna was very boring, apart from the ladies.
Bluffmaster was crap
Don - old one was awesome, mainly because i hate SRK
Dhoom 2 - was quite a decent movie imo, few scenes were quite good as mentioned.
Hum Tum - funny movie.
the other 2 i can't remember the stories so no comment.

Salaam Namaste is a good movie i thought, could easily have a laugh or two. Not sure about the other one tbh.

Did you think that Madhuri and Rai should have switched roles in Devdas?

BTW, Rang-de-Basanti was an excellent movie. That was the last one I've seen.

Here's one for you, Dhoom or Dhoom 2? And we're disregarding the fact that there are NO good looking girls in Dhoom.
