    Top 5 Favourite Songs

Just out of curiosity, what are your top 5 favourite songs of all-time?

For me, in no particular order ...

    1) Ain't no mountain high enough - Marvin Gaye

    2) My heart will go on - Celine Dion

    3) Angel - Shaggy

    4) You were my everything - Aviation

    5) Let me love you - Mario

    No Backstreet Boys

    Mine:

    1) Stairway To Heaven - Led Zeppelin, love every second of the song, don't care what anyone else says. While the rest of the list always changes, this has been my number one for years.
    2) Blind Willie McTell - Bob Dylan. Brilliant song.
    3) While My Guitar Gently Weeps - The Beatles. Harrison is awesome, what more can you say.
    4) Shine On You Crazy Diamond - Pink Floyd, the live version with the extended intro is stunning.
    5) April - Deep Purple tied with March of the Black Queen - Queen (for all you haters out there )

Haha, picking 5 is more or less impossible. There's another thread where people picked 20, and it was hard to leave stuff out there. Here's five who would be up there, though.

Johnny Cash - Folsom Prison Blues
Bob Dylan - Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - The Carny
    The Smiths - Miserable Lie
Tom Waits - Invitation To The Blues

Hmm, this is ridiculously impossible. I'll give it a go anyway.

    1. Pink Floyd - Brain Damage
    2. Parkway Drive - Don't Close Your Eyes
    3. Glass Casket - In Between the Sheets
    4. Ruiner - Paint Peals
    5. Hot Cross - Fortune Teller

So many more should be in there. Folsom Prison Blues, Shine On You Crazy Diamond and Father & Son all stiff to miss out.

    Incredibly great top 5

For me, without over thinking it:

    • (Nothing But) Flowers - Talking Heads
    • Someone's In The Wolf - Queens of the Stone Age
    • Save The Day - The Living End
    • Cyclops Rock - The Might Be Giants
    • Here To Stay - New Order

Though my list would change from time to time, the Talking Heads song will always be in the top 5.
President of SKAS - Kat is King | Proud member of CVAAS - One of the best | LRPLTAS - Rosco rocks!

Refuse to do an all-time top five, so I'll just do a 'current' top five.

    The Fall - Oh! Brother
Joy Divison - She's Lost Control
The Velvet Underground - Beginning To See The Light
    The Birthday Party - Swampland
    New Order - Procession
