Beware the lollipop of mediocrity. Lick once and you suck forever...

Up to 75km/h winds, rained heave all night, some of yesterday, most of today, predicted more rain than today tomorrow. Hasn't flooded since last update (couple of hours ago) but will be sure to tomorrow. Schools have been cancelled by the SES, so it's predicted to be pretty bad.

Where I live, it is almost impossible to flood. In 2005 we had 400mm of rain in one hour and it just looked like it had rained a lot, no actual flooding or anything.

Where I live, it's impossible to flood due to the fact it would have to rain first.

That scares the **** out of me. I had my bedroom window shattered during supercell Sunday when a huge branch broke off a tree down the road and was carried in the wind. My dad then held the blind tightly against said broken window to stop the rain coming in. Shudder to think of the various scenarios that could have occurred.

Quite pleased that the police are apparently going to charge/fine people for reckless driving into flood waters etc. in SE QLD (according to what I've seen/heard on the news anyway). Stupid ****s not only putting their own lives at risk, but those who then have to rescue them for their own stupidity.

Gah, hate it hate it hate it. If it's going to look miserable out there it might as well piss down IMO.
    You still in Melb?

Couldn't believe how bad it's been the last couple of days.

Drove through some fairly deep patches yesterday in torrential rain. Was on my way to an exam though.
