In antipodedian Rugby terminology "going the biff" means a spot of what we'd call "pagga" over here. Scrapping, in other words. I presume it's a variant of that.

I've never heard of "pagga" either.

I'd call it "handbags", TBH.

What do they teach you at school?

Actually am 99% certain it's a northernism that I picked up from reading "Viz".
