    Two Wishes

If you had two wishes what would they be. Note, you can't vote for more wishes, you can't vote for "unlimited" something (has to be a specific amount), and don't you smartasses come up with any other kinds of smartass answers for this to leech the fun .

    Anyways, mine are as follows...

    1) A hot hot wife/girl.

    2) A regular place in the Indian cricket team for about 15-16 years.

EDIT: Don't pay attention to the title "Three Wishes", cut it down to Two.

1 + 2 = massive cliche, especially as you went for outer beauty rather than love.

    Hmm..

    1) An end to poverty (I don't want everyone to be rich, just the real crushing poverty of the people in the shacks outside town to end)

    2) To have a wife/girlfriend who never wants kids

    3) To be a succesful sports photographer/cricketer/pilot

Haha, Hingston and little kids would be hilarious. Imagine if you just knocked up some random, and the mum made them chavs just to spite you.

About 18 months I heard a story about one bloke who slept with a random and 8 months later she contacted him telling she was preganant and he was the father. If it were me I would be off to join the French Foreign Legion quicker then it takes Bill Lawry to get excited. Hey they will always deny that I am in the Legion and when I get out I can keep my French ID if I wanted to.

Neither of them will make you happy. A hot wife will not fulfill you in the long run, as there needs to be depth to a person for you to spend your life with them. And secondly, your place in the Indian team will lead to you being away from home regularly, and your best mate will be getting down to it with your hot wife, while India are getting rolled over on their travels.

In all honesty, I can't think of anything I'd actually wish for. Seems like anything you got that you didn't actually achieve yourself wouldn't be all that enjoyable. I suppose I could wish for a powerful position in society so that I could make a positive difference to the world and create a legacy for myself. Not that it'd be possible to achieve such a thing on your own, but the chances of it are fairly remote.

    Thank you Oprah.

I'd like to fly. And I'd like to travel in time, via concentration, like that guy from Tokyo in Heroes. Specifically, I'd like to go to the early 60's, maybe mid-1963. I'm also very interested in the period roughly between the 1860's and the Great Depression, but I don't think I'd last very long in that era.

Haha, I realised it was a bit cheesy as I was writing it. Still, I find the idea of wishing for wealth or success a bit ridiculous. Wishing for things which are not within the realms of possibility is a bit different, obviously.

Really? Having wealth would be a good wish for me, if I didn't value flying and travelling in time higher. It wouldn't be about pride (great wealth is arrived at in very arbitary fashion when you think about it, regardless of how hard you might work), just having the resources to do a lot of things I'd like to do - and having a lot of things I'd like to have. I like to do things well and work hard at accomplishing things anyway - and if it's a free wish, why not, it's better to have the wealth than not have it. But that's probably a bit like having one of the wishes be "more wishes"...
