Two opposites attract; I don't think so!!

You might have heard about it or watched about it on TV; Lots of people always say that two opposites always attract! I.e. the relationships between people who have the least in common with each other are the most successful.
I, personally don't agree with this. I think the more things u have in common with each other, the more likely ur relationship is gonna be successful. If u have things to argue about, it can result to more brawls, and if its with ur girlfriend/boyfriend, it can lead to u splitting up!
So why do people say that two opposites attract?

because they sometimes do?
it's all just random, woman think will the babies look good?
man think is she a good ****

and you don't always have to argue in opposites, if your wise enough you can always talk and it doesn't need to be a fight.

and for both the opposite can be some sort of save haven.

i understand what u are trying to say...its just i havent come across such relationships!
For example, my parents have so much in common that it makes me sick!
Secondly, i had a girlfriend about 2 months ago! We had nothing in common....i loved sports but she hated it. She loved to read fiction...i hate that. Eventually, u run out of things to talk about, cos neither of u want to chat about each other's interests!

After a while u get bored of each other and conclude; "she's not my type!"

Let me tell you something, opposites attract as well as same (sex) attract.you see soo many bi girls these days. what does it tell you? if only opposite attracted you would only see straight girls in this world, but thats not the case. Bi girls are there as well as some bi-curious girls. But anyway all is good. This is a very good example that can be linked by your question.

Slight mis-understanding, perhaps? The differences he was talking about did not, by by understanding, involve genitals...

I think you are the most obsessed person I know about lesbian/bi ladies. Unbelievable.

Some real classy posting going on in OT today.

turb.....give up man...before this obsession consumes all the threads in off topic and they change the forum to something along the lines of "turbinators obsession of trying to pick-up online"

back to the topic

opposites do attract, similars do attract.
it's all about the vibe of the thing really.

I'm all for opposites myself. There's a great line in Trainspotting where Renton says one of the big downsides of sobriety was,

"I knew I would need to mix with my friends again in a state of full consciousness. It was awful. They reminded me so much of myself, I could hardly bear to look at them."

which obviously goes doubly so for lovers.
