Which was the best PROPER cartoon

Given the way OT gone, I though it was worth going back from the days when cartoons were about more than dorky kids battling with Pokemon, Yugioh, or Beyblades (ie. they were about selling action figures!!!). Which of these classics were the best, and which did you have all the action figures for...

I had a stack of Transformers, the complete Lion Voltron and some He-Man (battle-damage skeletor!!) and Mask stuff...

I thought about Thundercats, and decided no, it belonged with Dino-Riders and other derivatives

How can anyone go past Robo-Tech? The definitve 80's cartoon for mine. Voltron and Transformers are close. Unfortunately never saw MASK.

Captain Planet conspicuous in its absence.

Captain Planet was a godawful 1990s cartoon made by Europeans(I think?). We're talking quality 1980s Japanese stuff here.

DragonBall is actually from the 80's, so it could potentially be on the list, not that I'd support the move unless it was actually the uncut Japanese version, which is supposedly quite good.

I think Captain Planet was spawned by Ted Turner, or so Robot Chicken would lead me to believe...
