It's a little bit derivative of some 80s stuff IMO, but there's no denying it's a great album. Opening track and the last two are great, and Power Out is pretty good too. They've got a new one out in a couple of months I think.

    Albion - Babyshambles.

Doherty may be a hateful turd, but there's no denying he's a talented one. He perfectly captures a kind of deracinated Englishness that runs through all of our greatest writers from John Osbourne to Morrissey.

My Creative simply adores Depeche Mode - Strangelove, it's supposed to be on random but it keeps picking it over and over.

Yeah, my ipod seems to have favourites too, despite it supposedly being random. It loves Bruce Springsteen, for example. Far more than me, as it goes.

Oh sod that. They sort of count as emo in the original sense rather than the "omg i'm so depressed because i can't get my hair like the guy in that band" that it means now.

Emo in the original sense is short for "emocore", which is short for "emotional hardcore". Doesn't sound like DCFC to me. The word has so many meanings these days it's pretty much redundant - pop-punk stole it, and then mass culture as a whole stole it as a way to categorise people and bands. Can't wait till people stop using it TBH.

And the song's just called Unconditional, BTW. It's amazing, too - easily the best thing The Bravery ever wrote. I use the past tense, 'cause we'll never see them again.
