Developing countries are certainly working hard to become a developed country, but even in the most developed countries the problem of poverty exists. Even if newer job oppertunities are created, population problem is such that more jobs will have to be created at a quick rate, which isn't practically possible.

Which is the biggest problem that the world is facing right now? I feel its population problem. You can't stop it, and you can't encourage it at the same time.

No, that natural thing which has been accelerated by human activity and will lead to immense problems for the world in the near future, which wouldn't have happened if it happened as it is supposed to as there would have been time to prepare and adapt.

We knew it was going to happen years ago, in theory since the Ice melted all that time ago, but noone has done anything about it really.

For the world it's growing tensions between the 'east' and the 'west'. Unless the two sides work harder at understanding each other, things are going to get alot worse.

For Australia, it's water shortages and lack of population imo. The workforce is getting older, there are less babies being born and we might have a serious problem in the near future. Personally, I wouldn't mind just opening up the gates and letting everone in. But hey, that's just me.
