I've just bought some Perlenbacher Festbier from LiDL, it's on a limited release at a quid a pop. Recommended best drop I've had in years.

I found PBR's at the Dan Murphey's down the road for $44 a case. Absolute ****ing bargain.

Just two questions: Is it cold? Yes. Is it Foster's? No. Give.

So, so typical for a then-17 year old of our area.

Generally I'll grab Coopers Green or Reschs on tap, or buy craft beers otherwise. Currently got some White Rabbit Belgian Pale Ale and Kosciuszko Pale Ale lying around. Also found the 650ml cans of Sapporo to be an expedient method of getting drunk.

    Right now, German wheat beer.

There are some decent ones being brewed around the Oktoberfest, can't get near the Belgians but at least slightly less watery and bitter than the usual fare.

Treated myself to a Green King Head Brewer's selection from Sainsburys yesterday. Features two bottles of each of Green King IPA, Green King IPA Gold, Old Speckled Hen & Old Golden Hen.

Good value at only a tenner, IMHO. Old Golden Hen was the winner for my quid. Lovely clean, bitter taste with a refreshing, dry finish. Notes of tropical fruit and elderflowers on the afters.

Really getting into Erdinger Alkoholfrei this weekend. It's so good.

YorksLanka, what's your malt of choice?

Look, just because they plaster the town with ads for the alcohol free version doesn't mean you have to buy it.
