Holy hell I can't believe I managed to sit through that Sunday thing on the PUPs. Had never watched the show and never will again, lost several million neurons watching Willisee's hit job. Worse, it wasn't even a very good hit job, was sloppy and dumb and yet the PUPs still managed to come off really poorly. Abysmal TV in general.

But he'll damn well pull otherwise Labor-voting individuals across the aisle. Case-in-point, me.

The Liberal voters don't need to love him for him to be valuable to the party. The value in Turnbull is making left-leaning socialist sympathisers into "hey, free markets aren't so bad after all" Howard Battlers. Abbott, Hockey and Morrison can't do that. Literally everyone hates them.

Yes, Morrison has done what he promised. But he's also a slimy little bastard and nobody trusts him. He didn't even originally get preselected for Cook in 2007, despite John Howard's support.

Is that a face you can trust if you're a swing voter?
He's still more likely to get the vote of his peers in parliament. He's done his job, he's done it well. Mother Theresa would come across poorly as Minister for Immigration in Australia.

Well known Tory appointee Dirty Dys may have her called (it was probably an unwritten term of reference that he do so) but SFA would come of it. There is really bugger all reason to do so on any objective reading of the evidence so far, unqualified News Ltd commentary notwithstanding.

I did the Bar course with Stoljar. He's not exactly an excoriating cross examiner.

Hilarious. ****s Abbott over so well. Climate Change is the issue which keeps doing over Aussie politicians.

Hunt looked apoplectic, despite his assurances to the contrary.

Christine Milne on 7.30 trying to say "I have no ****ing idea what is going on" in as many palatable ways as possible.

As has most of the media over the last two hours, it seems. Utterly baffling.

Which is probably the main reason this has happened, tbh. Palmer seems out to make Abbott's life as miserable as he constitutionally can.

The repeal of the Carbon Tax is not contingent on the establishment of an ETS

It's only contingent on savings being passed onto the consumer

Stand by for lower electricity prices

Tone is a real box ticker:

    Boats stopped - tick
    Carbon tax gone - tick
Debt being paid back - tick
