    Having said that, other than Morrison, I don't mind the Coalition's policy on reducing media access to an extent. No doubt Labor whored themselves out and just made everyone tune out by being in our faces all the time. But the Coalition can't go too far. I don't think you really ever want to deny the Press Gallery their access too much. and you don't want to take the Australian people for granted either.

    Not just a deterrent IMO. Should be a punishment. He'd already shown a history of violence and that incident ended someones life. Lock him away for a while

    That's largely because the press gallery is too lazy and intellectually bereft to go hunting for stories themselves. They've been spoon fed too long.
