all this talk about females in the cabinet (or not) has detracted from the issue of the portfolios of his new ministry - no science minister, other portfolios involved in innovation also gone, border protection has also become a portfolio, which I find scary. Australia is preparing to take several steps backward I believe.

We don't have a Minister for Newcastle anymore but I'm pretty sure the place still exists.

The world is going to burn to a crisp due to the decision imo. Global warming will be rampant by the end of the month.

I loved the irony of someone knocking on my door trying to sell me solar panels the day the Climate Commission was axed. I'm sure you can all imagine how much fun I had with the poor woman who was trying to tell me how much money I'd save without acknowledging the fact the Carbon Tax will be axed by July next year.
