On the plus side, Abbott will probably end up costing some state Liberals their governments, I strongly suspect Victoria will return to Labor next year

Indians can't bowl - Where has the rumour come from as I myself and many indian friends arwe competent fast bowlers ?

With the English bid I said: Let us be brief. If you give back the Falkland Islands, which belong to us, you will get my vote. They then became sad and left

Victoria the only shot IMO. NSW and Queensland have far too large majorities for Labor to crawl back effectively, plus South Australia and Tasmania will go anyway (SA in a result like this IMO, Tasmania in a NSW/Queensland style demolition, but IDC for certain as I don't pay much attention to state level politics).

Australians like to 'even it up' apparently (in terms of state to national governments), depends on the nature of Abbott's reign I suppose

dont think there's any real evidence of australians actively trying to even it up.

The advantage now is that you guys can't make fun of us for electing George W Bush.

If Julia Gillard enjoyed seeing Rudd crash and burn, she's not showing it.
