    I blame the media largely for the disengagement we are seeing with politics, it's them who make the choices about what we see and how it's presented, they have been absolute gash lately

    Regardless of how the media presents it (the FTA networks try to dumb it down; ABC and SKY go in-depth) people broadly speaking are not interested in politics

    It would not matter how it was presented, or what was reported

    perhaps, but people are so cynical about politics because of the constant negativity, it's been a race to the bottom, and this not just disengaging people, but is turning them off politics

    Yeah it would (well, maybe not at the moment). The gamed reporting pre-dates the lack of interest and Libs have a greater vested interest in maintaining said lack of interest in politics than Labour does.
