For the AFL, and other major Australian sports, this was the nightmare scenario. The deep-seated reservation that caused the AFL, particularly, to squirm and prevaricate when, in 2005, the federal government demanded all Australian sports sign the World Anti-Doping Agency code.

Its easy. They believe in distributing your wealth but accumulating their own. So don't worry about net connections or even utes or pick up trucks and such. They can afford limos with a "Does my carbon footprint look big in this?" sticker engraved on the forehead of their chauffer.

I regularly leave the country for overseas sojourns, be they for work or for holidays. The strong economic management of this government means the AUD is high at the moment, resulting in affordable overseas travel.

When I next travel, I will be sure to ask you to hold off on collecting the coffee order for a couple of weeks.

That's not even the beginning of a problem. There is nothing wrong with some debt. In fact, depending on the interest rates, it can be quite advantageous to borrow even if you have the money to pay for something outright.

For a similar reason to why they recommend you take out a house loan when you have enough money, if you can lock in a low interest rate. In your case, it would be because you are likely to make more in interest than you have to pay. For a country, when it costs almost nothing to borrow money, the funds can be used for "multiplier" projects - anything from infrastructure to incentives, etc...the net benefit of almost ANY such investment would far outweigh the interest payments. This is especially true in times of economic downturn.

Of course, the situation changes when it becomes more costly to borrow money.

I live in an apartment now, can't have guns here .

In any case, over here, guns are cheap! You can buy a decent rifle for $150 (probably the Russian Mosin). Can get it for less if its used. Even semi-automatics are reasonable!
