That's about whether appointing him was smart politics.

That has nothing to do with whether choosing to not remove the Speaker, which would have been the first time in history of Australian Parliament, let down women - which is what Hartcher's contention is. Whilst Albanese was too retarded to properly communicate this on 7.30, their reasoning not to remove him was that the evidence was before the court. That was the only thing that she said that came close to defending Slipper.

Hartcher is suggesting she chose to not stand up against his sexist comments, which is a weird way of interpreting yesterday's Parliament to say the least.

Other than Burgey, who else finds this thing totally embarassing?

No-one in their right minds could re-elect Gillard (candidate for worst PM ever) but I cant believe that anyone would support the budgie smugger

This has all the hallmarks of '93 when the greatest fraud in the history of Oz politics won the election because the opposition was led by a clown

As a resident of a country which allows for the creation of social and charitable organizations for women, although they must avoid "overt political advocacy" I would have thought you'd find it novel.

I find that Abbott is even in contention to become PM is embarrassing. Can we swap Governments please? We'll keep our media though. They don't really know what they're doing but at least they're not bat**** insane like Australia's media.
