Hang-over from when she didn't turf him months ago and probably from appointing him in the first place. Remember a flurry of articles saying appointing him was a huge mistake given what was known and that something like this was inevitable.

That has nothing to do with whether choosing to not remove the Speaker, which would have been the first time in history of Australian Parliament, let down women - which is what Hartcher's contention is. Whilst Albanese was too retarded to properly communicate this on 7.30, their reasoning not to remove him was that the evidence was before the court. That was the only thing that she said that came close to defending Slipper. Hartcher is suggesting she chose to not stand up against his sexist comments, which is a weird way of interpreting yesterday's Parliament to say the least. |

Grattan, Hartcher and Sheehan (who had to have his article amended by the editor as it was offensive) having a huge go at Gillard in the space of 24 hours. Fairfax is a left leaning paper????

Other than Burgey, who else finds this thing totally embarassing?
No-one in their right minds could re-elect Gillard (candidate for worst PM ever) but I cant believe that anyone would support the budgie smugger This has all the hallmarks of '93 when the greatest fraud in the history of Oz politics won the election because the opposition was led by a clown |

As a resident of a country which allows for the creation of social and charitable organizations for women, although they must avoid "overt political advocacy" I would have thought you'd find it novel.
