Mind you, the horrible cynic in me says it's a sympathy bounce to some extent. Though that wouldn't really explain PPM and the collapse in the LNP primary. Rudd's toast, though, we can agree on that.

Disgusting riots in the Sydney CBD on Saturday. I was a lazy **** in the day time though so didn't come across it, stayed in the apartment.
My hero, Waleed Aly, wrote a great article today in the SMH/The Age about what is wrong with that sentiment in the Islamic community. Has far more cred, and is far less hateful, coming from him then say... I dunno, Cory Bernardi claiming multiculturalism has failed

The poll was conducted (a) when Gillard was not on the scene (b) in the aftermath of her Dad's death (I still think the death was a stunt
) and (c) in the afterglow of Punch-GateIf anybody thinks Gillard will actually win seats (in net terms) as she is required to do to retain Government, then I they are mistaken |
