The more of Kathy Jackson I see the more convinced I am that the best course of action upon ever sighting her in person would be to run in the opposite direction. Fast.

*headdesk*The Government also announced $214 million to begin the planning work for 12 new submarines to replace the troubled Collins class fleet.
"In our strategic environment we need strong maritime capabilities and that's why we need a potent submarine force," Ms Gillard said.
"The early decisions on design questions are the most critical.
"The funding will go to essential studies which will inform the Government's final decision on submarine design and workforce requirements."

Can't believe it's 59-41
With Labor at a primary vote of 27%
How long can this go on?

Will say this once and then nothing else. Defamation laws quite clear in Aus.be careful.
Now it transpires Ashby was working against Slipper whil working for him. I think his damages claim might settle early. And cheaply.
If, and it's still a substantial if, this was a fix by the LNP, it's so stupid as to beggar belief. Reminds me of the title of that book about Young Warwick Fairfax "The Man Who Couldn't Wait".
If this turns into another Utegate I will laugh soooooo ****ing hard. No guarantees that it will but it would just be colossally stupid.

i didn't actually read any of the stuff when it first came out, so my first feeling that the timing was odd (given he'd already lost pre-selection pretty much and had been in the speakers seat for like 6 months) was just thrown out the window (see: 'it's so stupid as to beggar belief.'), but now that more stuff is coming out that seems weird I'm gonna put out my first feeling
Listening to Joe Hockey and Tony Abbott on TV this morning makes me wish Labor could just get their ****ing act together for about 5 minutes and get the spotlight back on these clowns Politicians should be banned from TV before 12pm, I end up with bull**** all over my breakfast.
Joe telling us he's not going to tell us what their costings are or what they're going to do until the next election starts...but they could do it tomorrow if the election was called tomorrow. And "no comment, not speculating, blah blah"
And Tony falling back on the good old, "Just more spin from a desperate government" line we haven't heard much from him the past 6 months. Hopefully it's not
Come on Labor, at least try to make them give us something new! Maybe Joe's budget reply will make things interesting again this year. Although Labor are likely to **** something else up 5 minutes beforehand to take the focus off it.
Sloppy Joe to quarantine the Parliamentary canteen from any Budget cuts
Doesn't really change anything. Although I was surprised to hear he voted with labor so many times (30 odd times/12%)
