Interim Temby Report into the HSU East Branch has been released. It relates to Williamson primarily, but there's some very interesting, though indirect, Thomson news in it:

2.6 .............. There are no guidelines on the use of the Union credit cards, to explain the type and amount of expenditurethat can or cannot be incurred, nor different categories of authority for approving different categories of expenditure.

Yeah so it looks like it'll be pretty hard to prove that he broke any rules...

...because there were no rules for him to break.

Not the most convincing way to be let off, but I guess he'll take it.

edit: this is assuming HSU National runs sort of like HSUeast

Tax fraud - should've declared the $100,000+ in cash advances as income

With Grattan, it's like she's crestfallen

Was dying to see a female PM and, by her standards, Gillard hasn't measured up

It started pretty much as soon as she was elected though. It's unusual for Grattan to get so personal though. You can hear it every morning on Radio Fran.

It's because, depending on what you eat from that particular supermarket, you get a blue, black, red, yellow, or green ring.

They're not seriously still talking about Rudd as leader are they?

This may prove, once and for all, that to be a good journalist you have to be brain dead and/or mildly ********.

    Ancient history

RBA has just cut official interest rate by 0.5% (with more to come) because economy is stalling and have admitted that they ****ed up by not doing it last December (as advised by moi!)

Anyway, just because Oz is not in the same basket as Spain or Greece doesnt mean things are good!
