Thomson quits Labor

Along with Slipper, Thomo just gives Gillard a stench

She's just viewed as a political machine, who will do whatever it takes, support whoever it takes

Libs now have more MPs on the floor of the Parliament than the bad guys

I don't want an early election, I want to do them (particularly Oak**** and Windsor) slowly

Tony Windsor on Sky News banging on about the presumption of innoncence RE Slipper. He and others just do not get it. Nobody is saying he should stand down as an MP, just that he should stand aside for the moment from one of the most symbolically important offices in our democracy, namely the Speaker of the Housse. This is an extra, priveleged, esteemed position. The person today who is besmirching the principle of presumption of innocence, is Gillard who has sought and obtained Thomson's resignation even though the allegations against him are not resolved.

I might be reading it wrong, but didn't Abbott just do precisely that?

Typical political bs as this is all about the PM trying to regain some semblance of credibility as it's totally irrelevant as to whether the guy is a member of the ALP or not as he has already stated that he will vote with them

Unfortunately for her, most will see it as a massive fail
