Not for a party stoush.

Typical for him, mind.

Newspoll has Rudd as PPM over Gillard and Abbott. Been like that for months. It tells you nothing unless it asks whether voters will switch to Labor if Rudd became PM again.

Bad news for Rudd

Coalition's current lead is only:

Nielsen 53-47
Galaxy 54-46

Those results are simply not "shocking" enough to boost Rudd's vote on Monday. He needed a 59-41 Coalition landslide to jolt the colleagues. As it is, on those numbers, Gillard can plausibly make the case that Labor is broadly speaking within striking distance, and just needs some clear air to bed down their big ticket policies.

Reckon it's because Rudd wants to create a contrast between his home life and that of Gillard

Personally, I give no weight to someone's wife/child opinion (unless it's adverse) but I'd say that there would still be plenty who would raise their eyebrows at a woman who is the major bread-winner and lives with a hairdresser (of whom there have been rumours as well)

Pretty low tactic but Rudd is a ****

But Kevin always looked so friendly.....

Only just become aware of this story but it makes pretty entertaing reading for an outsider, imagine it is rather different for everyone else.

Well Therese Rein is the major breadwinner in the Rudd household too from all reports, so he wouldn't play on that.

This whole process has been a pretty sad reflection on him as a bloke though. He's completely and utterly self obsessed, more worried about himself, his image and creating the perfect sound bite than he is about Australia and the future of our nation.

We deserve an election to clean up this mess once and for all.

She will never be respected as a Margaret Thatcher type

She's tried the tough nut persona; the bubbly Julia; the Real Julia

Nothing works

People can not cop her

The only politician that can put Tony Abbott on the verge of being PM

She's never really tried the really hard persona though. Tried far too hard to cosy up to the media - **** them.

Gillard's approval down 6 to 26%

Polls so counter-intuitive. Madness

Abbott's approval has crashed too, by 5.

What it all means - pay attention to the statistical uncertainty.
