Watching last night's Q and A - Bill Shorten in a passionate defence of the ALPs boat people policy is a very perplexing sight to see after the ALPs stance on the issue for nine of the past ten years.

How is it any more perplexing than watching Greg Hunt speak against pricing carbon after supporting it in parliament for years and writing a thesis in favour of it?

because (other than for Captain Stuff Up/Former Prime Minister Blah Blah) climate change is not a moral issue, whereas sending minors to non-UN signatory countries is, particularly after bucketing howard's Pacific solution for years.

I personally think we should just throw the kids overboard and be done with it. Who's with me?

Lateline saying the government will now bring the AS vote forward after Mirabella's insane own-goal.

Deliciously, she was punted by Slipper, their own Deputy Speaker. Only 55 Libs fronted to vote on the naming.

Fmd Abbott will be absolutely filthy on her.

Nothing underhanded about her being named by their own bloke in the Chair.

What an outrageous own goal.

they'd have to pull some pretty dick moves to squeeze the entire debate into one sitting day, surely?

They had the debate two weeks ago. All that remains is the vote, essentially. Remember there was a bit of surprise they didn't bring the vote on back then.

**** 'em. They should bring the vote on at 9 am.

pffft nobody listens to this ruthless woman, the polls will never turn around while she is there. even if the stuff ups stop (indulge me, for a minute) people don't want to give her credit for anything she may achieve.
