It's an absolute disgrace. Love that he brought up the issue regarding the asylum seeker funeral arrangements as well.
What a scum bag. The Liberal front bench has an amazing number of xenophobic dicks. |

Tucked away in a safe Senate seat where he doesn't have to really face an electorate. I work with a guy who boarded whilst at Uni, which is the heartland for wealthy land owners from the country, aka future conservative liberals. A few of the boarders ended up working for Minchin and Bernardi (apparently it’s an easy decent paid job being a staffer). These two are the sworn enemies of Chris Pyne in SA. As much of a toss as he appears, Pyne is in fact the leading moderate in SA and takes a massive interest in the student politics of the young liberals in an attempt to get more moderate candidates up, and push away the future Bernardi's etc. but really to no avail. It didn’t get much publicity but Bernardi blogged a while back that a ‘prominent Liberal MP in SA who is in the front bench in Canberra’ thus obviously Pyne as Downer was gone; has no political convictions and claimed that in private conversation he had admitted he was only a member of the Liberals because he grew up in a Liberal electorate and would have joined the ALP had it been the other way around. Thus he is a blight on the party and conservatives should take no notice of him as he is a man of no convictions. The blog entry was pulled pretty quickly by the party and ruffled a lot of feathers. |
