Yeah, he spoke with the PM yesterday when they all joined the queue congratulating him.
T'was funny when he said he'd interviewed all the PMs over the years and said JH was "easily the trickiest one he'd interviewed". Top message that. The Fairpay Commission has nothing like the powers of the old IRC though, does it?

Here I was thinking I was anything but average.
According to the census, the "average" Australian is 37 years old married with 2 children. That's me. It's either very depressing, or a lotof other people are copying me. I prefer to think the latter, but suspect the truth lies with the former. |

The .1 are the friends the kids always bring over to eat all our food and make a mess of the place.
The .1 used to be our dog Murray, who sadly passed away last year. The explaining of that to then 4 year old twins is a whole other thread in itself. |

I'm constantly in wonder at how stupid they think we are at election time, and conversely...how stupid we turn out to be. Given, Howard's had next to no competition at the polling booth since he came into power. |

It’s out next week. There is no conspiracy. We are trying to settle on a fortnightly cycle that doesn’t involve us coming out a day after Galaxy, as we would have had we come out this morning, or a day after Nielson. You may be aware we do not poll Thursday nights because of late night shopping. Neilson and Galaxy do, which we believe adversely affects their results. But it allows them to publish Monday while we publish Tuesday. Since we spend over $1 million a year on political polling I try to move it around so we don’t get scooped by Neilson or Galaxy. This has only become a problem recently because Fairfax is polling more regularly and the tabloids are polling monthly with Galaxy |
