Essential: Gillard thrashing Abbott as preferred PM | Crikey

    55-45 as well.

Awaiting Neilsen with much interest tbh.

Bad day for Tone today, it must be said. His interview with Neil Mitchell didn't go well.

    ****ing bludger.

If there was one, just one question that you knew was coming and had to be prepared for it was surely the WorkChoices question. Anything other than a 'never in a million years' response was going to be seized upon. Surely he had to know that. But no, it's something cute like "not this term, I only make committments for the three year cycle".

It's their fulltime ****ing job , and they can't even get the most basic of things right!

So I'm on the electoral roll for my old address in the ACT. It says to change, you need to have lived at your current address for at least a month, which I haven't. Seems silly to me, as I've signed a lease for 12 months so I'm obviously going to be here a while.

    What can I do?

Vote in both places, especially if one is a marginal seat.

In fact, if one of them's a marginal, send me your deatils and I'll be sure to vote several times for you there.

Thanks for the blood-curdlingly useless response.

Nah ****, you can just do an absent vote on the day.

I'm still enroled for my electorate back home despite living here for about 5 or so years. You just rock up and say you want to cast an absent vote and they'll give you the papers for your ACT electorate.

Actually, you're in Melbourne hey. Think you can only do absent voting in the same state. You can do an interstate vote (same thing as absent) but you have to do them at designated interstate polling places.
