Poor Barnaby. Looked completely lost today.
On the worm thing, yeah it's fun to watch but I would kill it. Not good for the political culture in this country IMO. Some things just don't need to be trivialised... anyone notice that the worm conveniently meant that most commercial networks didn't bother to analyse the actual debate i.e. healthcare? Cannot believe the coverage it's gotten either tbh. I think it's called a slow-news weekend.

Personally think it's a pretty amazing achievement for a man of his age and profession. Can see why it got coverage, but the fact that he was actually being criticized for it by the ALP is the only reason it got as much as it did.

I'm feeling sick in the tummy about Newspoll tonight (10:15pm Brisbane time).
I just don't feel it will be good. And, make no mistake, Newspoll's do matter especially in an Election year. They form the prism through which events/leaders are reported. |

Find it funny that any politician can try to have themselves portrayed as "straight talking" to be honest.
Example: "So what's your policy for health reform Tony" "That will be revealed before the next election" Straight talkin' translation: We don't have one, but will work it out between now and the next election as it's obviously important. None of the politicians are straight talkers, except maybe Christopher Pyne when he throws a hissy fit. Which is still well-worth watching by the way. Never gets old.
