Yeah education facilities are not important at all to future economic productivity...

That said i would not have objected to the improving of several Sydney roads (eg Parramatta rd, M4 east extention etc) or the Sydney rail services.

You won't convince me that school halls and shelters, and run of the mill classrooms are great economic drivers.

But they don't have to be in the context of avoiding a recession - there's still long term benefit in them surely, in terms of kids having adequate facilities at school.

Never mind the batts mate. "It's good to have Mark Latham back" - I think you'll be hearing a bit of that from here on in..

As shocking a peice of administration as the insulation scheme was, I don't see it having enough fuel to burn as an issue by the election campaign as long as no new details emerge. The opposition have understandably driven it pretty hard, and I think people will start to tire of it as an issue pretty soon. "They can't administer pink bats, so why would you trust them with X?" wont last as a slogan imo.

We cattle can only handle so much exposure to one issue.

There's a NPC debate between Abbott and Rudd next Tuesday on health. Tone to write his policy on the back of a beer coaster this weekend.

Mate, as more people turn on the heating and the downlights as winter descends, more houses will burn to the ground.

It's the policy **** up that keeps on giving.
