It's a good thing for the Liberal Party imo. They need to develop their own identity without a relic like Costello confusing the issue. His time was right after the election loss.

Now they just need to lose people skills Abbott.

Everything the NSW government does comes across as a big non-event for me. Liberals will win with a comfortable majority come the next election. Verity Firth will lose her seat to the Greens as well.

Sad in a way to see Costello go. Still he did his country a great disservice by being too gutless to pick up the knife circa 2000. Would have been a better country if he, not Howard has presided over the second half of the Libs reign.
